OP @9613019 - Do you think the $22 plan is "hot" and is it eligible for loyalty after 6 months?
It is not hot, but it is eligible for loyalty plans after 6 months.

Are you saying even a non active sim card from non-Rogers network would work as well?
if the phone is unlocked, but you need a non-rogers network sim card to trigger the unlock process

I did it with a non active non rogers sim.
I’m glad to hear it comes with the code so no need to call them to get it.

I understood about the cancelling and order again concept, but how do you keep your number if you cancel? Anyway just got mine G4 and is manufactured aug 2016, older than yours:( Wondering if I should concern about the boot loop issue?
Keeping my number wasn't a big issue for me as I had just signed up a couple weeks before. I wasn't really saying I wanted to cancel but just letting them know that I "could" cancel everything and get a full refund and then just sign up again which would mean no extra shipping fees. The rep was really good about it and waived the shipping for me. As for the second part of your question, Like I mentioned in my post... From my reading on different forums it seems like most of the boot loop issues came from phones manufactured in 2015 or before. To me this means you should have no trouble. If anyone else has any better information feel free to chime in.

Overheating also seems to play a role in the bootloop, if the phone is getting hot, just turn it off.

if I choose zoomer, they will ship the sim within 2~3 days, does that mean:
when I sign, they pull my number, and I could not use this number within 2~3 days until I got the sim?

They will assign a temporary member and you can still use your own number. When you receive their shipment, you need to contact them to port in your own number.

What $22 plan? I just went through the past 10 pages and can’t find a post referencing a $22 plan.
Minutes only. It's on the Zoomer page

$22 plan is hot if it meets your needs and is cheaper than what you're paying now. Any phone plan is eligible for Loyalty Plans after 6 months of service. There however isn't a $22 Loyalty Plan. Only $27 unlimited talk and text, $36 2gb $45 4gb, and $54 5gb with unlimited talk/text.
Koodo: $60/10GB
Zoomer: $45 4GB LTE Loyalty Plan

Not sure what you are looking for. If you just need unlimited talk, Public Mobile has the $20 plan (or $25 plan with text).

So @9613019 was wrong maybe? I don't see the $27 one, rolomonster, where do you see that? If I sign up for the $22 plan, I can't ever get unlimited minutes?

Unlimited minutes is on all loyalty plans. You can get one of the loyalty plans after 6 months, but the $22 plan or any other talk and text only plans are not hot comparing to other carriers' offering. Just my 2 cents.
