I should have said "I've heard there may be ways" rather than know that, sorry - I've never tried it for the reasons mentioned, just seen discussions around it. You probably know more than I do.

This apparently will do Nougat for a locked bootloader?

So sad it is not for H812.

Has anyone tried to get a Tablet plan from Zoomer? Is the SIM locked or can it be used in a smart phone?
Haven't tried it myself but recall discussion a few months ago when it was stated that the SIM would only work in the tablet. Perhaps someone with personal experience can confirm...

If it wasn't for the overheating and bootloop issue the G4 is a great phone in itself with all the features it pack and the screen is really gorgeous

The button placement in the back could be cumbersome at times but the lack of side button mean it's great when you want to tilt your phone to watch videos without accidentally hitting a side button
That issue has been resolved around in 2016, anything bought past 2016 will not have bootloop issue. Also, LG will repair any bootloop issues for free if you bring it up to them. I have a Nexus 5X and they fixed it for free.

The OS is pretty much done on that device but the camera and display is top notch for the price.

Looking at pulling a trigger for $36 plan. What is the best option for the phone now that LG G4 are out of stock? Is Huawei P10 Lite a good option for $75?

At least P10 lite is usable and will have potential OS upgrade. I will go with it rather than J3 or GR5.

Oops you just answered this one. I thought Huawei is hard to sell? Is your answer based on keeping the phone?

Huawei is hard to sell.

For resale value, P10 lite should be higher (after the deduction of $75+tax) than J3 or GR5 in most markets. J3 should be more popular due to brand recognition.

For anyone else who is looking at $22.5 plan, the loyalty will only apply to this one if it goes up to $27.50.

Also, for the $36 plan, the 3GB allowance does not expire, contrary to some reports on this thread.

This is based on info I received from Zoomer.

Correct. As long as you do not change your plan after 2 years contract. You will be continue month-to-month with the same payment and same minutes/data. This not a loyalty plan. You may not get it back if this market plan is not longer offered. Think before change this plan to other plan. i.e. you can change to the $36 loyalty plan with 2GB data and unlimited minutes after 6 months. While you are still under contract, you cannot change it back to $36 3GB plan, if still available, without paying the phone balance first and resign another 2 years contract.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Koodo $30 plan, PM $38 5GB plan, PM $8 plan to replace Speakout,
Zoomer loyalty family plan for 4 lines $117/6GB, $0 FPL home phone

That's what I thought, but I guess because the thread title is from the original deal and says 'NO REFRRALS", I just needed confirmation. Thanks!

'NO REFRRALS" means do not openly ask or provide referral in the thread.
