So, other than the $40 plan, the $36 plan I have, people are saying something about after 6 months, switching to loyalty plan, but my $36 plan 3GB/400 min is good for 2 years right?
You don't have to change plan if you like what you have even after 2 years as long as you don't change your plan.

Hey guys, just ducked into this thread and read a couple of pages back.

I'm on the $40.50 plan since last August, got it with an A5.

Can I call in and get the extra 1 GB and keep the plan at $40.50? I can't switch to the $36 plan until renewal because of the A5.
Yes, you can switch to the new $40.5 loyalty plan with 3GB data without paying your device balance.

Just called in and had my $40.50 2GB plan changed to 3GB, no increase in plan cost.

Thank you sir!

If you change plan in middle of a billing period, make sure to check your usage first before switching because of the partial billing. You may incur extra expense if your usage is higher during the beginning of billing period. Sorry for not putting out this warning in my previous post.

How does the referral work? If you cancel early do they claw it back?

You just need to provide them with your referer's basic account info, such as account number (or phone number) and first name. You can do this when you place your order or within 30 days of account activation.

They will claw it back if you cancel within 30 days.

What am I missing here? It doesn't seem that bad of a deal. An extra 4.50 a month in exchange for an extra 1GB/mo plus getting a phone at no extra cost that is somewhat better now (P10 lite) than the GR5 was when it first came to Zoomer.

Did you guys get the amber alert today? I got the test alert last month but not the actual alert this time.

I just checked the "Usage" tab of my account to confirm the plan includes Text & MMS. Perhaps the issue lies with your phone (MMS disabled, somehow?).

I would contact customer service, they should be able to help you out. Good luck!

Edit: And yes, it supports emergency notifications. I got two Amber Alerts in Ontario today.

it is fixed now, i had it on ltemobile.apn instead of rogers, switched to rogers apn and mms works as intended, however the data speed dropped from LTE mode to 3G, I suppose that was the reason why I changed to ltemobile.apn last year in the first place. Oh well, I guess zoomer can't do 4G + mms at the same time.

You can have lte and mms at the same time. The trick is to add the details from the mms apn to the ltemobile apn. It will work.
