just chat or call them up. I know they have mms add-ons for cheap I just don't know if you need data. usually have had to in the past unless it's changed.
Thanks, I'll check with them. I didn't realize MMS could be an add-on. Thank you.

To be able to port the number easier should I cancel Fido first or Signup with Zoomer first , then cancel Fido?

Sign up Zoomer first . Then port your number from Fido because you cannot port a cancelled number.

No. You need to keep your Fido line active for porting. If you cancel it, you cannot port your number.

Zoomers will need your Fido account number and your phone number to do the porting.
And you don't actually need to cancel with Fido, that happens automatically - at least did for me when I moved from Bell to Zoomers.

Just add tax. You may need to pay 911 fee, which is based on your province. No other fees. The actual amount varies in different province. I am in ON and paying $40.68.

It helps to tell us where you are in order to calculate your monthly payment.
Monthly cost = $36 + 911 fee + GST or HST

Provincial 911 emergency services fees: NS 43¢/mo, AB 44¢/mo, QC 46¢/mo, NB 53¢/mo, PEI 70¢/mo, NL 75¢/mo, SK 94¢/mo.
No 911 fee if your province is not in this list.

For AB = $36.44 + GST = $38.72

that is what I was told about a week and a half ago when i asked what my options were. We just took the 3 A5's for the 3 numbers I ported over.

So my mom called, signed up and they told her when her phone comes, she needs to call back and give them a number from the back of the phone.
Is this going to be an easy process for a technically illiterate person?

I am wondering what they need from the back of her new phone.
Zoomer usually put the SIM card in the new phone. It will be working by the time she received the new phone.
I think What the CSR means to give her current phone number to port over to Zoomer.
