Just switched from the regular plan with 2GB to the loyalty plan with 4GB. Very easy, did it via Chat. I've been using Zoomer for a few years and am off-contract.

Call Zoomer to switch to $36 loyalty plan with 4GB data/unlimited everything else to save $4.5.
I don't mind paying the extra $4.50 for an extra GB. I have 5gb for $40.50
Koodo: $60/10GB

So you have a total of 5GB data? That makes the $50 ($45) obsolete, no?
The $50=$45 plan would be 6GB. I use a little 4ish GB per month and was on the old $50=$45 GB plan. I now pay less and get an extra GB.

The real question is, can you sign up for the $40.50 monthly plan and get a free Samsung a5 or LG q6 and then downgrade to the loyalty $36 plan after 6 months?

No, you can't. They will ask you to pay off your device balance.

Thanks! Used online chat to get the loyalty plan. $36 for 4gb and unlimited calling is a great deal! Paying the same for an extra GB and unlimited minutes.

Reading the summary on the first page and still a little confused. Am I understanding the current price vs loyalty correctly?

- Current $36 plan: 3GB + 400 mins + unlimited texting.
- Current $40.50 plan: 3GB + unlimited incoming + unlimited texting.
- Current $45 plan: 4GB + 500 mins + unlimited texting.
- Current $54 plan: 5GB + 800 mins + unlimited texting.

- Loyalty $36 plan: 4GB + unlimited calls + unlimited texting.
- Loyalty $40.50 plan: 4GB + unlimited calls + unlimited texting?
- Loyalty $45 plan: 5GB + unlimited calls + unlimited texting.
- Loyalty $54 plan: 6GB + unlimited calls + unlimited texting.
I just chatted online and the rep indicated the retention bonus on the $40.50 plan is 2gb for a total of 5gb (and unlimited calling).

How much data for the loyalty $45 and $54 plans?
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Koodo $25 plan, Public Mobile $37 5GB, $13 250MB, $7 50min/50text,
Zoomer loyalty family plan for 3 lines $95/6GB, $0 FPL home phone

I got a Samsung j3 but will continue to use my own phone. If I needed a new phone I would have signed up on the $40.50 monthly plan and got a Samsung A5.

The Galaxy A5 is 1.5 years old already. By the end of a 2 year term, I think you'd be running into some serious OS app compatibility issues. I'm torn about buying a new BYOD device with the $36 plan or considering this phone, but its age seems like a big limiting factor to me. Thoughts?

Sorry if this dumb question has been answered, but I've been on Zoomer for several years now, and had switched two accounts over to the $36 for 3 GB promo + free phone in the spring (with a term of 2 years). I read on the first post that one can switch to loyalty after six months. Is that six months After your term is up? or 6 months after you initially signed up? Thanks in advance!
