Hey I wanted to proactively share my experience with zoomer:

My wife has a zoomer account $36 for 4GB
My wife had at some point turned off wifi and she reached the cap. She didn't pay attention to the sms reminder. At some point zoomer automatically stopped her data to avoid racking astronomical charges. My wife let me know at that point.
When I went in the site I noticed that LUCKILY zoomer had stopped overages at $50. Ok not so bad
I called for a completely unrelated reason to zoomer a week later. Without me bringing it up (I was not planning to) the attendant told me "Hey I noticed that you blew over your quota, I can put you one month on the next plan so you dont pay overage" (only pay the incremental to put me in the other plan )
Of course I very happily accepted.

I thought about sharing this very exceptional customer service from zoomer. Very, very happy customer and happy to have them take my money.
The $50 cap is a regulatory requirement, but it is very nice for them to mak an offer without even asking.

Yes, the G5 is free with a minimum $22.50 (after 10% off) plan.

Apparently LG G5 have a 2nd edition which costs more (on release) but worse in specification, does the one zoomer offer is the "regular" G5? Anyone know? The normal G5 have 4gb of ram whereas the 2nd edition only have 3gb.

Now there's a thought! Thanks. Didn't know it could be done. It will likely be months before the A8 goes down to min 50 (45) $ plan. Would save a few bucks monthly in the meantime.
Just found out cannot be done (switch to 36$ plan. Rep told me a new phone would have to be purchased, which would be the same A5 I outright own. Why would I want the same one? I was thinking of keeping my A5 till A8 goes down, and I'm sure 45$ loyalty plans have upped since over 2 years ago I was offered nothing.
The account I'm speaking of is a friends. It was the best plan over 2 years ago but in lieu of current situation, I feel a little bad for suggesting

They do not let you to switch to the $36 loyalty plan even if you are out contract? Maybe the rep thought you want to get that $36/4GB plan for new activation.

I have just chatted with Zoomer to confirm that I can switch to another loyalty plan without new phone purchase. I am out of contract right now.

Thank you so very much for the useful imformation. No, they said either buy another phone, same as current one. Paid for and off contract. Nothing was offered at at all Maybe you are correct, perhaps rep misunderstood. Because notably, customer service is excellent.
Do you have an upgraded loyalty plan vs the original one?

I guess they will soon provide $36/4GB again as $36/2GB is not competitive at all.

With the Public Mobile $38 unlimited minutes/MMS + 5GB data. Zoomer will not getting any new activation. Just wait, the $36 4GB plan will come sooner or later.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Koodo $25 plan, PM $38 5GB plan, PM $8 plan to replace Speakout,
Zoomer loyalty family plan for 4 lines $117/6GB, $0 FPL home phone
