@jackass_ca , 10% off is automatic.
Lifetime Rewards Bundle is the CARP membership etc
Don't expect too much for good phone because they are Rogers clearance phones. Just sell it to subside the phone you want.
Data = 0.5GB base + 0.5GB double + 2GB bonus = 3GB

BTW, Zoomer referral system had changed recently. Both parties will get the credit after 1 month. Maximum 6 referral credits per year.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Public Mobile $37 5GB, 2x $13 250MB, $7 50min/50text, 2x $8 50min/50text,
2x Zoomer $36 loyalty 4GB plan, Fido $10 4GB data only plan, $0 FPL home phone

Thanks, it's for my nephew, the P20 lite will be great for him, it's a solid phone for free...
The first rule of RFD is, you do not talk about RFD.

The second rule of RFD is, you DO NOT talk about RFD.

Zoomer has changed its referral program.

https://www.zoomerwireless.ca/referral

Some main changes.

1. Current Zoomer users have their own referral codes. No need for account# anymore.

2. Limit of 6 referral credits every year.

3. Only 1 credit will be applied every month. Other credits will be deferred to the following months.

Quite the downgrade. I'm sure here some people here must be coasting on hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of referral credits!

I'm checking the Device List quite frequently hoping for a change in devices and lo and behold, an update!

New Phone:
Motorola G7 Play - Minimum plan $40 so it will be eligible for the $36 plan loyalty or otherwise

No other changes as far as I can see.

So new list of phones are now

Samsung J3
Motorola E5 Play
Huawei P20 Lite
Motorola G7 Play

Recommend P20 Lite and G7 Play at this price point on 2 year contract for use or sell. The other two really shouldn't be considered.

Looking at the specs for P20 Lite and G7 Play and they seem at least usable. Unless J3 somehow works better than its specs would suggest, it seems like a ripoff.

Sorry if this has been posted, but did zoomer change their loyalty program?

I’ve been with them more than 6 months and some jackoff rep is saying I’m on the best plan. And he’s like “here’s what I’ll do, I can give you an extra gig”

So does the $36 4GB unlimited minutes and texts not exist anymore? I was told in December there is a 4GB $36 plan and a 6 GB $50 plan. Is this no longer the case? At first he said there are no loyalty plans and I’m on the best one.

Thanks

Never mind, online rep was just ignorant. Phoned in and they had the loyalty plans right there and he changed it.

From your experience, is P20 Lite or G7 Play better for re-sale?

On paper, P20 Lite has ever so slightly better specs. However, software wise I would go with the Motorola G7 Play as the ongoing sanctions on Huawei could make things difficult software updates if not stop after some time. Moreover, the Motorola was just released whereas the P20 lite is already over a year old so less future support as well on that side.

Looks like zoomer has added some interesting new phone options.

https://www.zoomerwireless.ca/solution_ ... ?plid=1853

On the $40 plan:
BlackBerry KEY2 LE $150. $500 no term. Free on $45 plan.
Google Pixel 3A 64GB $350. $750 no term. Free on $80 plan.
BlackBerry KEY2 $350. $750 no term. Free on $50 plan.
Google Pixel 3 64GB $700. $1100 no term. Free on $80 plan.

Those blackberry key2 are interesting. Anyone know how long they will continue to get updates? When is BB key3 coming out?

I renewed in May with the Loyalty plan. I would have jumped on the Pixel 3a. The one thing I hate about zoomer is how the over inflate the value of the straight buy out price of the phones

Agree. Zoomer/Cityfone use the inflate phone price to tie you down 2 years.

Rogers does the same thing, and since they run on the Rogers Network and buy their devices from them as well I'm not surprised at the prices.

Interesting to note that they don't have the XL options on the Pixel's. Given their target market being seniors, its kind of an odd omission.
