dude!! ... did you not read how I said I'm being lazy??

fine ... grumble mumble...

$700 for a Pixel 3 on the $40 plan is what's on their website.

$600 from Google right now with no contract
Zoomer is know to inflate phone price to lock you in for 2 years.
This is how Rogers makes the money.
You can get the huawei P20 Lite and sell it for $150 - $200 to lower your Pixel 3 price,

Koodo $25 plan, Public Mobile $37 5GB, $13 250MB, $7 50min/50text,
Zoomer loyalty family plan for 3 lines $95/6GB, $0 FPL home phone

Currently on $36 4GB loyalty plan, looking to sign another 2 year contract to get a phone to sell.

Looks like the best $0 phone is the Huawei P20 Lite? It is $500 no term on the Zoomer website. The Samsung Galaxy J3 is only $250 no term.

Less about what phone ought to be worth more and more about what phone is worth more in your area.

Check your local Kijiji/Craigslist listings and make the appropriate decision :P

Now that Koodo has closed the loophole for churning phones, I would wait about two weeks or so for things to filter through and think about which phones will fetch the best price in your area. Then decide if it is worth it to sell or pay the appropriate amount for a descent phone (eg: P3a for $360 on the $36 plan).

My only issue with the 2 year commitment last time was that the Huawei GR5 was not a great phone. After about one year it was laughably slow. It had some nice features and could take good pictures, but app load/response times were just crazy slow. I couldn't wait to get a new device.

Devices seem to have more staying power now though, so I suspect that keeping my Telus-provided S9 until 2022 shouldn't be too bad... certainly not as bad as the GR5 was by the time I got to the end of my 2 year Zoomer contract.
My current issue is I have LG G4 from last april and now the G4 is having screen split problem. It's only 1 yr and 4 months now, still have 8 more months until the end of the 2 yr contract. I thought I am lucky to have the G4, but guess not. If I renew my contract now for a new phone, I have to pay off $80 for this garbage G4. I had never had a phone that last less than 2 years. Never LG phone again.

I just realized my 2 yr. contract ($40 plan) is up in early September. I intend to stay with Zoomer for another 2 years so which phone is best for resale (I use an iPhone X and will continue to use it). I assume based on other posts that the iPhone 6, Moto G7 Play, or Huawei P20 Lite are available? I don't know anything about Android phones.

Just check on kijiji in your area for which phone is being sold for the biggest price

I have been with Zoomer almost 5 years. Cityfone/Zoomer does not have side deals like its owner Rogers. No early renewal deals.
I like to be proven wrong. Let me know if there is Zoomer side deals.

Zoomer per month write-down per month = $100/24 =$4.17/m.
Cancellation fee = number of months remaining * $4.17 * sale tax
