It was at the time. Limited time offer..
I guess you have the $60/10GB plan that most carriers offered in December. Apparently, Zoomer is good for low data usage. If you need more than 4GB, then there are better choices from other carriers.

@petepw wrong thread, but call the stores
They are handing out the 25% discounts for life again

I know for sure St Catherines & Mississauga are both good to go
Koodo $40 Canada Wide + 8GB + 1000 Intl LD
Public $120 Province Wide + 12GB - $6 Autopay - $12 Loyalty - $45 Refer = $19 per Month
Freedom $35 ($37-BTS) North America Wide + 8GB + 1GB Roaming

Are you talking about the friend and family code that employees were getting for 35% off?

$36 is a good deal for ppl who wants data but don't need a lot nor need a lot of minutes. I use maybe 5 call minutes a month.

It's nice ppl are coming in with other deals that cost more with more data but why pay $45 when I can pay $36???

I'm still waiting for the day where I can get 1gb for less than $25 or something lol

Quick question on international texting. Zoomer offers free international texting... does that mean I can text anywhere in the world without incurring any charges or is there a roaming charge because if there is, then it's not really free, isn't it?

Are you supposed to get a CARP membership card to prove you have the CARP benefits?

Texting from Canada to anywhere in the world is free and unlimited. Texting from outside of Canada to either Canada or int'l is roaming. Pretty sure this is standard.

Free international text when you are in Canada. Not free if you are out of country.

We were talking about the time the Huawei phone being offered. Guess you did not read the post properly.
She got the Huawei in December, obviously it was being offered. There’s a whole thread about it.

(Heck Freedom you can get $35 for 8GB & unlimited minutes)
The fido plan is BYOD, this one comes with a phone. The real cost of the plan is something like $30 a month. Also, some people are not heavy data users, so this plan makes sense for them. Not enough for you and I, but there are some people out there that aren’t addicted to their phones lol.

Freedom is not a comparable service. Apples to oranges.

I'm paying $60/mo for DOUBLE the data that Zoomer offers on their $54/mo loyalty plan. BYOD no contract. No waiting for 6 months.
The $60 10GB plan was a hot deal when it was available for those that need more than 4gb of data. But it is no longer offered. Currently for anyone that requires 1-5gb of data Zoomer is probably the best option (Fido Migration plan is only YMMV and is BYOD).

If buy out cost for the device is the concern, get one of the flip phones and save it as a trade in device during Koodo promos for $50-100 off the upfront cost of a new device. Even factoring the cost of the flip phone100÷24 and the referral 25÷24, Zoomer costs $39.13. If you can find a 2gb plan with LTE for under $39 right now besides Freedom, great. If not, Zoomer is still a great deal if your data needs are under 5gb.
Koodo: $60/10GB
Zoomer: $45 4GB LTE Loyalty Plan
OP of the Zoomer Wireless $36 2GB LTE Promo
