I have a ZTE Axon 7, emergency alerts enabled but still didn't receive any alerts!

My gf and I have this $36 phone plan with zoomer for about 2 months, and we found text messages are delayed when being sent out (i.e. they're not instant like with Fido). With the same phones (ZTE), we both did not experience this delay when we were with Fido. I figure it's the fact we're with the reseller (Zommer) and not on Fido/Rogers customers' priority?
Yes, this happens to me once in awhile. 90% of the time messages send within a few seconds, but 10% of the time I've had it take up to 1 or 2 minutes to send

I didnt know about this loyalty neither. Bumped up to 3gb for an extra $4.50. Can go to 4gb anytime.....so said csr. Thx EMBGUY!

You are welcome. Extra $4.50 is better than paying $20 for 1GB overage. But if you don't need the extra 1GB, why pay the extra $4.50/m. Put the $4.5 away to pay for the occasional overage of a few MB of data. If you already over data every months, by all means to do the upgrade.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Public Mobile $37 5GB, $13 250MB, 2x $8 50min/50text, Fido $10 4GB data only plan,
Zoomer $36 loyalty 4GB plan, $0 FPL home phone

For our case 2gb just work....but have to watch last few days of cycle. 3gb is perfect. Thx

May 18 / May 19 will be 1 year of me being with Zoomer.

All in all went pretty smooth. Painless :)

1 more year and the phone they gave me will be paid. Smiling Face With Smiling Eyes

Hi

I'm confused as I've been reading the last few pages.

Is the $36 plan 3 GB for new activations? Or just loyalty customers?

Is this prepaid and how is the service?

There is a 3Gb $36 plan for new customs, with a phone. There is a 2Gb $36 loyalty plan (unlimited minutes, better voicemail), and a $40.50 3Gb loyalty plan; each available after 6 months. All Zoomer plans are postpaid. New customers can get $25 credit on first bill with a referral.

There is no $36 3GB unlimited min loyalty plan.

Loyalty plans with unlimited min are:
  • $36 2GB
  • $40.5 3GB
  • $45 4GB
  • $54 5GB

I don't know why Zoomer forces you to pick a horrible phone. Public Mobile still seems like a better deal. Unlimited calling and I find the 90 data option to use it as you wish so much more convenient than a fixed amount every month.

They want you to sign a contract with them, so they provide a subsidized phone. If you want to cancel your service, then the device balance will be the "cancellation cost".
