I'm 5 months in with Zoomer, almost time for a loyalty plan. But, now I am getting a phone from work, with personal use allowed. Is there any resale value for the plan? Otherwise, I am on the hook for the remaining balance of the Huawei GR5.

You may want to contact Zoomer to see whether you can transfer a retention plan as it has higher resale value. You may want to do it in January if the current promotion ends in December.
$15 charge to transfer ownership.

Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.

I've owned a G4 for two years. FYI for people who want to resell their new G4 but the SIM was pre-installed, press down on the SIM with the end of a pencil eraser to get enough grip to slide the SIM out. It's pretty difficult with just a bare finger.

Great tip! I've been struggling with popping SIM cards out of LG G4's for almost 3 years... Never thought of that!

Zoomer has confirmed that indeed there is no limitation on the number of referrals possible for one account.

Rep told me once they get the 'delivered' msg in their system.
Nope its scheduled delivery date because mine was charged a day earlier since Canada Post can't be bothered to actually try and deliver something in a dt Toronto apartment and just "says" they did... had to hunt it down the next day >.> stupid CP... I didn't bother with asking for the date to be changed but I'm sure they would.

Is Cityfone the same as Zoomer? Am I able to get this with Cityfone?

You can probably get a similar deal with Cityfone but without the 10% off. If you have been with Cityfone more than 6 months you can ask them for their Loyalty Plans. If you were move to Zoomer, you would need to be off contract or pay off your device subsidy. You also would not be eligible for referral credit. But you would save 10% a month and gain a CARP membership and b subscription to Zoomer magazine.

Zoomer is a separate company so they each offer different promotions. Technically, when you sign up with Zoomer your contract is with cityfone. It's a little confusing

Zoomer wireless is a program designed for Zoomer magazine and run by Cityfone. The service provider is still Cityfone and Cityfone is the legal entity. You can get the similar promotion with Cityfone, but without the 10% off. There is no reason to choose Cityfone right now, as you pay more to get less.

Note that you need to get a Cityfone referral for opening a Cityfone account.

Does Zoomer have a separate call centre from Cityfone? Or do they just have two numbers that go to the same CSR's?

Ever since I ported my number over, I am unable to receive authentication SMS from Google. Can someone here give that a go and report back to me as Zoomer is interested in hearing back.

I can receive 2-steps codes from Apple, Uber, banks; just Google is not working. I checked I did not black listed Google as they show up as different numbers each time.

Can you try to see whether Google can send you the code by phone call?

Phone call is working and it's inconvenient if I am traveling, SMS is free but not a voice call.

When I was with Fido, I don't have this issue.

Nope, not Google...
