$800 to $1500 depending on brand, number of circuits, and if your meter bases needs to be replaced due to code requirements.

I'm going from 100A fuses to 125A breakers and its $1250+tx and includes new meter base enclosure and a Siemens panel

I was told some round meter or something outside needs to be replaced to a square one, but to replace my panel on the inside its 2000 (includes outside work and inside) it didnt sound like there were any surprises, just a basic change of each thing. $2000 + taxes

I had mine done recently (simple RE/RE) and a main factor is whether the utility charges for the disconnect/reconnect. I know In my area of Peel there was no charge at all, but I’m told areas such as Toronto they are charging extra fees.

I supplied my own panel/breakers and paid 500$ which included the permits/esa inspection

Remember, you are hearing from people in Toronto telling you what it costs in Toronto. Winnipeg may be different for a variety of reasons such as less competition for business.
Call a couple of more companies in Winnipeg to compare, don't just assume you are being ripped off because it is cheaper in Toronto.

Thanks.

While im at it, regarding air conditioners... anything I should beware of? looking to buy a 1.5 or 2 ton AC. Any brands to stay away from? Theyre trying to sell me one called "PAYNE" or something.
