[123Ink.ca] Ergonomic High Back All Mesh Office Desk Chair $159.99

Just had this mesh chair from 123ink, it seems like a very solid deal
The same chair from bestbuy is also on sale but for $210 https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/lu ... lsrc=aw.ds

Any idea how this chair would perform for 6'1? I have a dxracer chair, but I've realized that its ergonomics aren't very good.

I have an older model of this chair (this one seems to be the same moustache chair but upgraded) and its been great for me. This one seems to be the same with the upgrades being better adjustable lumbar support and better quality mesh, headrest and arm rest

Very similar to the Union+Scale chair at Staples as well. https://www.staples.ca/products/2949742 ... hair-black. These chairs are probably produced in mass quantities in China and different brands have just picked it up and thrown their label on it.

I have the U+S chair and I find it pretty good. There is decent lumbar support although I find myself using the headrest if my back is properly using the lumbar support.

Just make sure that you're good with mesh vs fabric. The feeling is different but it allows for less of a hotter feel in the summer :)

I have the same U+S model and have been using it for the past 4 months.

It would be perfect for you @bam136 in terms of height.

I actually wanted a full mesh one for the air circulation, sihce I first used it a decade or two ago (when it was $1500). I like the chair and will recommend it. Thought I would never use the headrest - but I find it one of its best features.

This has 1 yr warranty.
How long have you had yours.
Did the mesh seat sag over time?

I haven't tried the 123ink one, but I'm using the over-hyped Hyken for ~2+ years and I'm not impressed. Ironically, I have been using 123ink cushions to compensate for the Hyken's design shortfall.

Is it because Hyken mesh seat is hard?
How do you find Hyken vs Ikea Markus?

The mesh seat is not hard at all. It stretched too much and over time the sag stay permanent. (BTW, I'm only ~150 lbs and used it mainly on the weekends pre-covid). Even before WFH, I can see staples that holds the mesh to mesh frame coming out. I squeezed a 123ink gel cushion in between the mesh and the mesh frame to keep prop up the mesh. Yes, I guess I could have returned the Hyken and complained about the manufacturing issue, but how many of us will take the time to disassemble it, travel to Staples/Bureau en Gros, wait in line, make your case in front of the manager, etc.

Also, I'm not sure what's the point of the tiny lumbar support that's barely adjustable and held by fiction.

Just my humble opinion.

There are some key differences between this and the Dexley:
  • The lumbar support can be adjusted inward/outward on this with a knob. On the Dexley, there is only vertical adjustment
  • This chair can be locked at two incline settings (115 degrees and 130 degrees). The Dexley can only be locked for a vertical position

Don't have much knowledge when it comes to office chairs but do you guys think this deal is worth it or is it better to wait on deals for the Hyken and Dexey to go on sale?
