12k repair on a Lexus IS250. Avoid?

Looking at getting an AWD sedan and I came across a really good deal on an IS250. It's a 2010 with navigation and 60km listed at 20k. Car proof shows 3 accidents, 2 for under 3k and one big one for 12k. All to the same front left corner and within a year. Should this accident history keep me away from the car?

I'd Avoid that, if it's been banged up that many times it's bound to cause you more issues down the road.

I nailed my old IS250 AWD in the same area when someone cut 2 lanes and cut in front of me. Cost of the estimate/repairs was about $5000. I had scrapes from the front bumper to the rear on the driver side. Damage to the 2 front rims. Nothing major like frame damage or broken headlights, just cosmetic. I'd be very hesitant buying a car with 12k damage because that would mean a heck of a lot more damage than mine and it's probably not cosmetic...

It's probably best to get a trusted mechanic that also knows bodywork to look over it from bumper to bumper. Shouldn't cost more than $100 if you're serious about buying the car. Might be a total lemon but it could potentially be a diamond in the rough.

I don't know if I'm crazy enough about it. I was looking for the 350 this just happened to be a decent price. It's been on their lot for nearly a month so I'm sure others were thinking the same thing. Otherwise it's quite a bit cheaper than anything else in the city

If this car has no accident and totally clean, I would think the dealer would have listed for around $25K (assuming if it is equipped with luxury Nav pkg). Therefore, asking for $20K with huge claims, it is way too high ... even with the car assumed to have been repaired by authorized Lexus body shops with OE/OEM parts.

Found a pic from my accident in 2011. Here's what a 5k cosmetic *claim* looks like on the IS250 AWD. Damage starts at the front panel and goes to the back. Front and rear bumper untouched. Labour was I think 2k out of the 5k.

Tough to tell without inspecting the vehicle but the previous owner may have just milked the insurance company with a stealership approved body shop, I know if this was my vehicle and I was not at fault I would want the best work done especially if it wasn't coming out of my pocket
