The calculation is way off.
As most people said, it will be around $10 out of the pocket if you get the meal close to $15.
For the $15 off a minimum order of $15?
I paid around $6.80 yesterday for a $15 meal brought to my door. It was $4 delivery + $2 tip + taxes.

My driver did not follow the delivery instructions and then also shut the door on my 20 pound dog, smushing its face, because he was scared of dogs

I specifically asked the driver to just knock, and leave the food outside, (I already tipped 30 percent, and had waited a hour), because my dogs get batshit excited when someone comes over, so I'm trying to accept the food and one slips out of my wifes grasp and runs up to say hi (not aggressive, never bites) and he promptly shut the door, keeping my food, and hitting my dog (who was okay though)
You shouldn't have animals near strangers startling them or running up on them like that. Especially if you said you know they get crazy when people come over. Some people hate dogs.
😎Thanks RFD😎

In China, they don't tip at all. Just want 5 stars review. why? more 5 stars review = better pay from the company.

In Canada, the company pass it on to the consumer to pay. If we all stop paying 10%-20% tip, those companies will definitely do something.

I personally pays $1 per delivery. If they are fast, I will give them another dollar.

If it is traffic jam time, I will pay them $3 up front and $2 later when they arrive.
Delivery people deserve more than waiters get for 30 seconds of taking orders and bringing food.

Ya agree with the delivery fees it's not worth it. But people that order online care about the convenience, I doubt they are looking at the total cost.
Why not just get one of those $20 free delivery spots .. use the extra $5 for another item like a true rfder I star ofgoing towards the delivery fee under $20

I agree too. Even with thier bad service, the waiters expect me to pay 15% tip instead of 10%.
Happens a lot in Vancouver's restaurants. Especiallyowned by Chinese.

How?
($15+3.95)x1.13+$2-$15=$23.41-$15=$8.41

In my opinion, both waiter and driver should get the same, 0.
Their boss should be the one who pay for their work. Not the customers. And yes, what a messed up world here in North America.

Really? In Toronto, most Chinese restaurant expect you to pay 10% regardless of the service.
I think it is because Chinese pay the tips like clockworks. Basically, it is just an extra tax.
That is the beauty of the power of habit.
Once you get people to get used to something, even if it is illogical, they will keep doing it. Once it becomes a habit, people do it without thinking because there is a fast path for the habit.

I am surprised to see food and labour is cheaper in BC than Ontario.
The cheapest delivery here in ON is $3.95 and I can hardly find food here that is close to that price range.
Even some crap here cost more than $10 in the restaurant menu.

I swear skip is the slowest delivery service, even if you pre-tip.

Yeah for sure, none of my dogs actually ever bark at anything (terrible 'guard dogs'), I figured it would be easiest for them just to leave it outside, next time I'll just go outside for a few minutes before he shows up.

I didn't complain or leave negative feedback, because my dog was fine and I was being lazy so the driver didn't need to be penalized in that case, and I try not be to a bad person and instead learn from my own mistakes and not be a d-bag for no reason
