Simplii is 2.2%. Payout is not per month though. They pay lumpsum at the end of the promotion.

No, they take a balance total on December 1 and you only earn on the difference.

Wow, I finally got an offer from them. It's been years so I only have about $20 in my account. I wonder if it's because I just applied for their credit card. For those also saying they finally got an offer, did you apply for their Mastercard?

Tangerine is pretty much gaming the bonus interest promo.
The promo used to start from 4th of the mth. Because of this, I move $$ out from savings between 1st and 3rd of the mth to 'outsmart' Tangerine algorithms.
This new 2% promo starts from 2nd December... wooo... thank goodness!! I moved the funds from savings on the 1st as I got a feeling that there is one ready in the making.

Does anyone know if they take the "snapshot" of your Dec. 1st balance at the end of the day on Dec. 1st or in the morning as moved money from Savings to Chequing during the daytime, so relevant to me.

Have the savings account for a year. First time getting an offer.

It is BETTER than its posted regular 0.1% on all Savings (except 0.15% RIF Saving)
$1.56 more (per 30 days) per $1000 saving instead of just 8 cts based on 0.1%

BOC rate is 0.25%.

Offer definitely more wide spread. Money left Tangerine and Simplii by many and sitting with EQ. I already closed my simplii accounts and was going to close tangerine in the new year.

Does Tangerine have a daily limit on transfers out of Tangerine? I just learnt that EQ Bank has a $30,000 daily limit for transfers as I'm trying to pull some stuff out.

This a 'good' rate for temporary deposit. This is a 'lost' leader for Tangerine to gain new asset.
