I have a 2006 R6, that price is a fair price for that year model.
You just need to make sure if the bike been dropped or not.. ofcourse most of the sellers will say no, but if you look on each side and see if there are nay marks or scratches.

Quebec has a better bike scene when it comes to pricing. Why are you looking at Ontario

Lol. I don't care for the sticker. I'd actually take it off if I bought it.

I'm actually not in Quebec. Just never updated my profile. Don't want the hassle of purchasing from another province.

So a 2011 is worth about 7.7k? Maybe I'll ask for 7k flat and see where that goes.

Did you buy your bike recently? If so how much did you pay for it? Any problems with it since it's a little older?

I bought mine last summer, its awesome no problems at all.. it really depends on the previous owner if he was taking a good care of it or not.. and by the way, I bought mine and it had over 40k on millage which is considered very high.. and its still runs fine, i know other bikers has 2002 and 2003 models and they're still fine.. :)

Did you get an awesome deal on it? Do you mind sharing what you paid?

5 year difference in bike ages, I think it wouldn't matter what poster paid. I can entertain you, when I sold my 2008 gsx-r 750 in 2012, I let it go for $7000 with 18,000km on the clock not to mention the amount of money that was going to need pumped into it to keep it going. The bike was never tracked (on track days) and never dropped. People love that in ads. In Ontario, that's considered a good deal, lol, I didn't tell the buyer that, sold AS IS, he didn't ask for any issues, I didn't say. So, unless you have experience with bikes or know someone that has, what might be a deal could be very costly. Bikes in Ontario are sold for insane amounts of money, not sure if it's the sedimentary value, or the fact that people don't know how to value a bike and just magically throw up numbers because their's is 2 years older, same mileage and has x-y-z mods which makes it better

I suggest checking out GTAM for sale section if you are looking for an idea of what you might be able to find that sits 'somewhat' aligned in the used market place, I say that loosely. Otherwise, save up money and buy something new, with the intent of never needing to sell it, unless it's a part out. People payout $15,000 for a R1, thinking their the boss, then realize after a few years if the bike made it this far, ridding isn't for them for whatever reason, decide to sell for $11,000. Then they try to flip it onto you cause they still owe $10,000 on it.

I got mine for $5500 as is pretty sweet deal, and the safety cost me 100$ extra and that was it..
If you have the budget and you intent to keep the bike, I would suggest you buy a brand new bike..

but if you're a new starter and afraid of dropping the bike, maybe start with a used one.. the other important factor is the insurance.. figure our the insurance before buying the bike.. cause insurance may cost you 10 times more than the actual bike cost.. all the best!

yeah used prices are crazy all over the place.. i see adds all the time people selling 300 ninjas for more than brand new bikes at the dealer........ and factor in they are 1 or 2 years old. LOL, are you for real? you want the same amount of money as a brand new one????

and then factor in their mileage...they have easy 15 -20k clicks on it... that's almost 1/2 the useful life on those engines.

Just checked gtam. Only saw one 2011 r6 sold but didn't list the price.

Anyone know a site that shows average prices of used motorcycles?

Just keep checking kijiji. That's a pretty average price. Most of the 08-09 go for $7k, and the 10-12 go for around $8k.
