2017 Honda Pilot, redesigned interior and losing weight?

from http://motoringcrunch.com/news/2017-hon ... /32007665/
Most people would be happy with what Honda has to offer right now but of course, there is always space for improvement and Honda is not looking to stop until they get the Honda Pilot as close to perfect as they can.

We know that the 2017 Honda Pilot will not be getting any exterior upgrade since the design is still fairly new but the 2017 model will not be a carried-over model as well.

According to Honda, they are working on redesigning the interior of the Honda Pilot so that their customers will have a little more interior space right now. Cramp interior was on of the complaints the people seems to have.

Besides getting a more spacious interior, the Honda Pilot will also be dropping some extra weight thanks to the new and lighter material that Honda will be using to build the 2017 Honda Pilot. This should help improve the performance and fuel economy of the Honda Pilot.

Anyone owning a 2016 Pilot find the interior is cramped?

I'm not sure that could be possible! The truck is barely one year old, and they are going to change the interior again?

Don't think it's going to happen. It would be surprising.

How can such a big SUV have a cramped interior?

Is that actually a trustworthy site? I have been thinking about waiting for a 2017 instead of picking up a 2016 that is current on the local market.

It looks cheap.
A life spent making mistakes is not only more memorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.

Less space for a 3 seater SUV.

Way less space. Consumer Reports has the MDX having less space behind the second row than a Ford Escape. Pilot is top of the class, even tied the Chevy Lambdas.

No changes to interior space.

Honda is adding Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, standard with EX and above models.

Additionally, Honda has added a new coating to the Pilot's 8-inch touchscreen display that will reduce the appearance of fingerprints while still reducing sun glare. Honda is also making a black interior optional on all Pilot models finished in White Diamond Perl; in the prior model year that color combo was reserved for the top-spec Elite model.

Well technically they gave the 2013 Civic a full facelift in one year.

If this does come to fruition, it would show how much Honda actually cares and responds to customer demand in a competitive segment. Normally interior changes are left for the mid-cycle refresh, 3 years into the generation.
