[Telus] 2018 Student Internet 150 Plan - $45/mo for 8 months

Seems as though Telus has released their student pricing already. Not currently on website but was able to call in to get details. Pricing for Internet 150 is $45/mo for initial 8 months, $95 thereafter. Looks as though they are no longer offering for 12 months as they were in previous years.

Require valid Student # to obtain.

oh how I wish it was $45 for 8 months on Internet instead of $45/mo for 8 months.

Shaw is still cheaper at $40/mo for students

Wait till the rest of providers release their student plans and telus will go back to 1 year. Most likely Telus will match any, if they re better plans.

Legally no.... ethically no....
But, to answer your question another way, Shaw and Telus do not have access to student profiles at universities.

I called in yesterday to renew my student plan from last year and I was offered this, except my plan is limited to 100mbps. Speed test is constant 120mbps down 30mbps up so not a big deal. I was able to add unlimited bandwidth for 12 months with this 8 months student plan.

Telus student internet plan is starting on July 6th.
Last year promo = CLICK HERE

8-month promotion.
no contract
no installation fee or whatever

Last year offers $50 Visa gift card when you sign up. Not sure if they are doing the same for this year.

Another way to get $50 GC is to have a Telus customer refer you to Telus.
1) they send you the referral link
2) you request a callback
3) you get $50 GC and the referrer will also get $50 GC
Don't ask for referrals here.

$40 = 75mbps or lower
$45 = 150mbps

IN- store: They will verify your student ID.
Online: You just need to "tell" them your student ID.
(Make sure you remember because they may ask for it again in the future.)
Yes, you can basically tell them your old student number or high school id number or any number.

you don't need to send your student ID to them. I think it was required before

Max: $300 (mobility)

Ffs my area still doesn’t have 150 and only 8 months this year? Looks like I’ll be negotiating early this time around
