2021 Next-Gen Hyundai Santa Fe

If you are thinking that the current-gen Santa Fe has only been in the market for 2 years, then you are right. The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe is getting redesigned or what is essentially a next-gen model instead of a refresh. This new Santa Fe is now on the same platform N3 as the Kia Sorento and Hyundai Sonata which is design with electrification in mind. They will be adding a Hybrid and even PHEV trim but only the Hybrid is likely to be in the US market. The inside is mainly the same but they are touching it up by adding more premium materials such as replacing many of the plastic and making it roomier. It will be launching in Europe first then come over to the US/North America.

The inside is very different. I've read that the interior dimensions are larger too.

I'm in the market for a Santa Fe and this may make me hold off. The North American specs and prices are expected in the next few weeks. Then, I can make a decision.
This isn't a blog.

Lol, I am the opposite. Grille to me looks decent but the the center controls look horrendous.

The headlights, OMG, what the hell is going on?

Interior looks like an improvement.

I didn’t even look at the interior pic. That centre stack is horrible lol

Similar lights were used on a Jeep a while ago.....didn't like it then and I don't like it now. The rest of it looks pretty good though.

Not a fan of the front; I feel like making the lights a bit bigger, and closing up the sides of the grill would give it a cleaner look

Gross grill/headlights. Rest is fine for a budget Suv.

Wasn't Santa-fe got re-design couple of years back? Most other manufacturers go 4-5 years between the re-design but I guess Hyundai likes to do it every other year?

Looks good, but...it doesn't come together.

It's like it's made of parts that came from different cars...

Edit; Yeah, I think the grill with those lights on the sides has to go away, bad idea...

Yup, the current-gen was out for 2 years. The theory is that Hyundai probably did this to have the Santa Fe be on the N3 platform, get those hybrid and PHEV trim options, and finally, because the new Kia Sorento is coming out, share the platform/some parts with the Kia Sorento which is seen as the main reason.

Oh, that is interesting, I don't see those two stack headlights on the image. There is only one set of headlights.

IMO 2021 Sorento has much nicer front/grille styling, if we're comparing apples to apples:

I would agree! The tiger nose grill that Kia has on their new model cars are much better.

At least you can't fault them for trying to be bold.
