2021 Tax slips already received

Parents received 2021 tax slips for one of their pensions.

Normally get in Feb or Mar.

Anyone else have this happen?
2022/3: BOC raised 10 times and MCAP raised its prime next day.
2017,2018: BOC raised rates 5 times and MCAP raised its prime next day each time.
2020: BOC dropped rates 3 times and MCAP waited to drop its prime to include all 3 drops.

Exactly our thoughts... need to check if pension amount changes every so often but I do know it is not same throughout the year.

Possibly it is same for last 2 months but come on this is more then being efficient!!

Are you sure it's not a revised 2020 slip?

Just speculation - Perhaps all pension transactions happen on the first day of each month, so they're guaranteed to have no further transactions until Jan 01, 2022?

Regardless, I find this to be fishy and would certainly investigate further.

Hah... just did more research since could not find any email to contact pension department... phone number only during week days.

However... on a retiree website they had on home page that payroll company made error and get usual tax slips in early 2022 and to ignore erroneous slips. Also, be aware that communication will also be prepared and sent to participants when all the details regarding this situation are clear.

Should have sent clarification by mail or email instead of waiting for more details.
