Apparently the vacuum that was planned for the Limited isn't available due to the company going bankrupt so they had to revise the Limited specs. Not sure if they ever planned to have the Platinum in Canada as the Limited has some of the Platinum features here. Similar to what Honda does with the Odyssey Touring having some of the Elite features in the USA.

According to an internal document I saw, the on difference from the XSE FWD to AWD is the AWD has 18" wheels instead of 20". That document is relatively new so should be accurate.
Dealers will have this document. I believe most dealers will offer a fully refundable deposit to entice you to place your order with them. The demand is sufficient on a new model that they probably can easily sell any car that comes in if you don't buy it. The Limited in Canada will probably be pricey as it seems to have a lot of features from the Platinum model in the USA

Don’t even take their word for it. Make sure that the deposit is fully refundable or any other conditions is in writing.

From what I have heard from other people yes, the deposit is 100% refundable. The dealership will tell you what trims and colours they are going to be receiving but if the exact one you want isn't arriving in the first few shipments then you will have to wait. I heard in the US some dealerships have already allocated their entire incoming stock to potential buyers. And other dealerships have more than 200 people on a wait list. Hope the 2021 Sienna is a big seller.

Nothing except an internal document showing the features of each trim level. Not sure what's taking Toyota Canada so long. Are they still trying to clear out the 2020?

Saw it at the dealership. If you know someone at a dealership they might give you a copy.
Heard the vacuum and cooler box was cancelled for now so the delay could be Toyota Canada rearranging their features/pricing

I keep seeing small things I don't like.

The upholstery of the third row looks like garbage in one of the seats. Is this a pre-production vehicle?

In the video above, at around 14:45, the reviewer shows the third row, and you can see the upholstery on the smaller seat (in the third row) is too large in one of the corners, around the seat belt anchor. It is like it's too big for the seat, too much upholstery, or the cushion is not the right shape, it doesn't fit properly. The other seat (where the reviewer is sitting) looks fine.




Here is the same problem, different video. First take a look at the third row of the 2020 Sienna (video should start at the right moment to see it).

The upholstery of the third row fits perfectly smooth (in the shape of the seat)




And now the third row of the new 2021: you can see the same problem on the right, the seat area around the hinge looks like it doesn't fit properly.

Those prices are "ouch!" from the point of view that a family minivan is not exactly affordable to all Canadian families.

For Toyota, it is easy to justify the prices because it is a lot of space, features, utility, reliability, etc. etc. etc. But still, very high MSRPs. It is safe to assume the Platinum is going to be over $60 K.

This means that by the time you add the tax this vehicle is close to $70 K .... for a minivan??
