2023 Hyundai Kona launch date---any upcoming changes

The Kona was given a mid-cycle refresh for the '22 model year so I wouldn't expect any major changes for the '23 year.

The N Line and N were introduced so not really a refresh. I see renderings online but you can never tell if it is for AUS, Europe, etc. They seem to launch earlier than we do in North America. Will soon see I suppose.

Good point. I guess that adds even more credence to 2023 not introducing any drastic changes.

Dealership I talked to said they don't have any information other than an estimated June production date for orders placed now, with delivery 3-4 months after that. They guessed that the price would be $500-1000 higher and that it would essentially be identical to the 2022 models, but pricing, features, and everything is entirely unknown.

This is part of my hesitation. Have heard June production, roughtly August delivery which is 3 months. Have not heard a change in pricing which is also a bugger, can pay close to MSRP on some allotments coming in now and not have to wait. Obviously the longer one waits, you run the risk of later production.

On Monday, I was told the least uncertain thing about the whole endeavour (FWIW) was a production date in June if I put a deposit down and ordered this past Monday. Then, to expect a probable October delivery, but maybe September...or maybe later. No guarantees. I'm in BC, but don't know how much of a difference that makes. Based on our overall conversation, I did get the feeling that the salesman was being candid with me.

Disclosure: I've only ever bought used vehicles, and for a fraction of these prices. So, I'm used to (1) getting the vehicle I buy relatively quickly (immediately) while (2) not paying an arm and a leg for it. If this is what people go through whenever they buy new...all I can say is: holy crap, I don't understand people.
