Still debating on what to get. The Asus VA32AQ at best buy is sold out.

Options so far:

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 1462732858

and

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.as ... 1462732858

I like the Dell because it offer 1 billion pixel colors and better brightness, which I am assuming is better picture. The downside is, it is refurbished and no longer sold by dell; meaning it will be obsolete very fast.

The AOC G2460PQU is good because of it's 144 refresh rate and 1ms response time; other than that it is pretty standard.

The aesthetics aren't the best especially for the dell.

Not really impressed with anything so far. Haven't seen anything too great. Please advise.

Update: the AOC G2460PQU just sold out.

[Doorbuster] Dell 24" Monitor - $129.99 (regularly $259.99)
dell-dells-boxing-week-2016-flyer-here-2066350/

Hi, any recommendations for a casual user? I have a retina mac (750m) and and a thinkpad from work. I'm looking mostly for excel use/movies. I've looked at:

The 21.5 samsung for 89.99 http://www.thesource.ca/en-ca/computers ... /108046022
HP

HP 27er 27-inch Monitor for 229 http://h20386.www2.hp.com/CanadaStore/M ... 2624d17aae

ASUS 31.5 for 299. http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/asu ... 60629.aspx.
Price might too much since I'm ideally looking for low 200ish + tax and depends if I can get one in store at BB.

I'm not too picky so long as the screen looks fine with my 15' retina mac and thinkpad (mostly working computer). If anyone has another recommendation let me know!

I'm looking for an IPS Gaming monitor, was hoping to be 27" and UHD (is that possible?) and 4K.

I might settle for a 24". I am not OBSESSED with Frame rate and OBSESS over like 5 m/s response time. I have an old IPS Dell monitor I game on, play FPS and am pretty high ranked. Really never noticed this ghosting people talk about.

But once you go IPS you never go back, so anyone have suggestions? If I waited a year, do you think the technology would advance much? I think we all want a 4K IPS with low response time haha
