This seems better value than Public $10 or Koodo $15 prepaid.

I wish there was a way to buy a 10-20GB data pack for $50-100 that doesn't expire until used up

What does home network mean, and since it is prepaid, is it just that it does not work outside your home network?

I've been using Freedom (Wind) ever since the beginning. Reception has been massively improved within the past year or two. I would suggest you giving a try to see how the reception is as I find reception is spotty in some areas still.

Home Network = Using Freedom's towers
Away Network = Using someone else's towers

I personally don't have issues but expect that there are areas you might lose reception. I always tell people it's hard to say unless you actually try it yourself. They have a refund policy so it's worth testing out, but don't port your number until you are satisfied with the service.

Well since this $15 is after setting up auto payment, you should be comparing to $8 Public Mobile.

I assume the usual 2G speed is still available after you use up the 250MB? Unlimited incoming too. Seems like a great plan for kids.
Some people just don't get that online forum posts shouldn't always be taken seriously.

Is it 250MB full speed and rest slowed down? Or just full speed and thats it?

Edit: Looks like someone asked this 30 seconds before I did too

Thanks. Going to switch my mom to this. She's on the old $20 plan but since getting an S7, Freedom keeps taking out data charges even though the phone says 0 data has been used.
