I think this is what you're looking for.

If you like it in the back.
Comes with a latch so if you feel like moving around, you're protected.

Looks interesting but I don't want to spend that much, though. The reason? It should only be temporary - being used in an old computer so it's going in an old case that only has the larger drive bays. I appreciated the suggestions to just 'tape' it to the computer case internals.... they have right idea...to go with a cheap solution but I kinda like that 'SSD Now' adapter bracket if it's any good. :)

You might be able to buy them at ali and pick a faster e packet courier. Or try fasttech they might have them too
You are right but even with e packet, it's still 2 weeks to a month. I am wondering if I can secure it to the case if I use double-sided tape and foam and then secure it to the foam - to just last until it gets here? Would that work somehow?

A lot of people don't secure them to anything. I just used on screw like another poster said above. I didn't want it to dangle and put stress on the SATA and Power connectors.

This was in reply to rabbit as the comment was requesting a 2.5 in dive floppy. It made it sound like rabbit did not know these products existed.

For your OP, double sided tape would work, but it would have to be a thicker one to make sure the adhesion is good.

Another option is to use string or rubber band. I did this in the past to reduce HD vibration, though you don't need it for ssd, but it is a way to secure a 2.5" drive in a 3.5" bay. This should also keep the drive cooler since there can be airflow around the drive.

I ordered from a site using epacket with tracking from china in the summer. took just under 2 weeks.

But the post office is going on strike........... and trump just added huge tariffs= is a giant sh1tshow right now

I have before I bought some just taped it to the side of the tower or the dvd drive just fine. best not to tape to any device that gets warm on its own tho like hard drives

i just let mine dangle from the cable. Well, not literally dangle as i rest it on a ledge inside the case, as the ssd drive is very light.
