32"+ non-ultrawide 4k monitor

I've bought (and returned) the Samsung M7 32" monitor which unfortunately didn't work well.

Any other suggestions, sub-$500? USB-C isn't a must (but would be nice). IPS would be great, but not a deal-breaker.

What’s the purpose of this monitor?
I use the 32LGUN500 open box from Best Buy for $250. For that price, I like the monitor for browsing and documentation.

Mostly work, which can be lumped under browsing, documentation as well. Unfortunately, no sign of open box deals like that, around me.
