Has anyone dealt with Epson’s warranty? After a year my projector is starting to show fuzziness/color distortion in the corners.

Not really sure what counts as replaceable.
warranty is excellent. they pay shipping both ways.

I had this happen to my 3500 which they replaced overnight. Call them up and start the rma.

Great to hear! Mine is also the 3500. Did you have to supply photos of the issue? Not sure how best to demonstrate it.

Not even, just explained what was happening over the phone, attempted a few of their suggestions and that was it!

Really good support, you shouldn’t have any issues!

My 3020 needs a new bulb so thinking of pulling the trigger on the 2045, but now priced at $606. Haven't been watching the price and wondering if that has been the price for some time or not.....

I am also in the same boat as you gocolts. looking to buy one of this and no change in price for more than a month.

Any predictions if the 5040 refurb will ever come back?

I think once Epson comes out with a new model, they will flood the refurb section with the 5040. Just not sure if it's worth buying, considering it has a high rate of failure of the power supply unit, as seen on avsforum :(

Apparently the new batch of 5040 and the refurbs have had the power supply unit fixed. I am looking forward to the 5040UB or even the 4000 refurbs to be in stock!!
I am really curious who actually got the refurb 5040 at $1497, and how much stock it actually had. The person(s) who got them are pretty luck (or unlucky if it had the power supply issue)

Yup, at $1500 it's a no brainer! I almost pulled the trigger on the 5030 at $999, but I'm very picky with uniformity, and the 5040 has adjustments, so hopefully I'll be able to snag one eventually :D

No brainer for sure! Let's keep each other posted when they become available.

I might be in for one as well. Feeling the upgrade itch to move on from my trusty ht2050. I wasn't impressed last time I tried to order from Epson though. I'm not sure if the credit card idiocy has been corrected but after four separate attempts at ordering and multiple phone calls about the repeated cancellations along with their indifferent attitude, I gave up and it's a partial reason for having gone the benq route...

Man, looking at the options there, I *really* wish Epson had a model comparison tool. I'm looking at upgrading my old 720p Acer... It's served me well for the last 3 years or so, but it's time to upgrade to 1080p (at least). So hard to figure out the difference between all these offerings.

Not quite as convenient as using the Epson site itself but there's this:

https://www.projectorcentral.com/projec ... pid_1=9498

Also, the Epson EU site seems to allow you to compare models:

https://www.epson.eu/products/projectors
