3rd party modem for Rogers ignite tv

Hi, as ignite tv only has 2 ethernet ports, I am looking for a new router and possibly a PoE. What will be a good router to use? Try a Linksys N but tv keeps lagging so have to go back to the one provided by Rogers.

If you meant just a wireless router,
The ASUS RT-AC86U is quite popular. Step below that would be the ASUS RT-AC68 series.
or
If you are technically inclined,
Routers officially supported by OpenWrt.

If you meant a router paired with a wireless access point,
There is the Mikrotik HeX, Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite, pfSense... router paired with UniFi or any other access point of your choice.
If technically inclined,
Configure/build your own personal CentOS/Ubuntu router and pair it with a access point of your choice.
