Looks like a great price, minimum price in QC province by the law for 4L is 7.13$!

I have deal alerts set for milk, prices are insane out there. By some miracle I was able to get an insanely good deal right before Christmas at Food Basics, they had 4L for $2.69 and it was glorious. I still, to this day, don't understand why the deal was so good. Mennonites were clearing the shelves out as fast as they could restock!

Still, $4.88 is way better than what I usually see

POST ALL MILK DEALS! Oat Milk too!

Thank you!

This is the best milk, and for some reason, the only one that is always on sale. Love it!

The reddit one maybe not as reliable, 1 confirmed, 2nd a solid maybe.

I've sworn off Neilson Trutaste... I've been buying other brands since.

Truly unfortunate and disgusting this happened.
However, as story says "it's rare" this situation happens on a daily basis.

It could happen to any Milk/Dairy Manufacturer.

I'm sure this kind of stuff happens with every milk brand out there (probably more regularly than you think)

Trutaste is by far the best tasting milk IMO and it also has the benefit of the longest expiry date. I always get a bag when they go on sale (which is often nowadays)

Other brands will have the same questionable health controls, it’s bound to happen. Everyone races to the bottom when competing. They are lucky this hasn’t happened to a customer yet.

I think these are one of the magic milk brands that last for 5 months or so
Great if you don't use much milk..

/Does any one know why a moron would post
An irrelevant bs story about milk bags when these are cartons?? The older I get the more halfwits there are..

I don't get it. Everyone loves rats, but they don't wanna drink rats milk?

Hmm I doubt neilson's factories are specifically any worse than all the others which follow the same standards. Some people are also saying it's physically impossible for the rat to go into the bag during the manufacturing and must have done so only after after she cut open the bag. Perhaps just bad luck. Happens from time to time with various manufacturers across the world.

Just remember to give your milk a good squeeze. If you feel a rat in your bags, buy it, and then demand compensation.

I love filtered milk, no rocks or cow feces for me! I just hope the sale is not just for GTA.

Lol ppl actually cut holes that big enough for a rat to be able to get through?

Wat
So I bought this milk this morning thinking the sale already started. I never looked at the price when ringing through.

I just checked my receipt right now and it was scanned in as $3.99.. weird, ymmv? Maybe a better deal before Thursday.

Same but I find frozen milk is not as rich. Still good for whitening my coffee.

Might have chewed to make the hole bigger. The reddit post and news article didn't have very clear photos.
