Eight pieces from 8-18 mm with holder $4. Maybe not the best quality but worth a try. Very shiny. Even made in Taiwan. No price tag on mine and only one left at Sandalwood and Conestoga. Expected this as a candidate for new $5 limit.

These sockets are listed with both metric and SAE equivalent sizes. These sizes are not equivalent. If you value your fasteners, I wouldn't use these.

It's just a universal socket size (covers both SAE and Metric), Mastercraft also makes these. They are fine for low torque stuff. I can't speak to the quality of the dollarama set as i haven't used it, but my Mastercraft one has been fine and hasn't wrecked my fasteners.

Question about this Dollarama set, does it need a special ratchet or does it work with any standard 3/8 ratchet?

Not a bad find. Power Torque, formerly GM Performance Parts, seems to be the O'Reilly Auto Parts house brand in the states. Similar to Mastercraft I guess.

The answer is in the photo. Yes it would work with 3/8" ratchets. It also has the hex on the outside so a special ratchet (or ratcheting box end of the right size) would let you use it as pass through. Up to 3/8" bolt size of course, due to the 3/8" square hole size.
