Got this targeted offer today

A great deal for me but the problem is that the car I am using for commuting is not the one in the offer.

Anyone has experience with this from previous promos? Like neglecting the plates in the offer and using a different car or successfully switching the transponder with the offer to different plates?

Well when I borrow someones transponder, they usually get billed.

I use the transponder for both vehicles myself and never got a video toll charge. But since this is a targeted offer they might do some random audits, which can be a $600 a month or more for me if they do

I usually pay ~$50 to $70 but using this offer will save me couple of hours extra a day

Does one have to pay the bill if out of province? Or is it like in BC with the new Port Mann bridge where if out of province you can simply ignore (since the only way they can force you to pay is to deny renewal, which if it's out of province, too bad, so sad)

This no longer works. 407 changed the way they do billing so that one transponder per vehicle. Kind of dumb but what can be done

I've been using it for over a year on 2 cars, or to be specific I use it 95% of the time on the car that is not on my account.

But for a targeted offer like this they may do some random checks and audits with video cameras and if I am with the wrong car then this can lead to some problems....

My game plan is adding my 2nd plate to my account, first month play it safe (50% each car using same transponder) and after the billing cycle see how it goes.

If it goes wrong, I will be charged $41 a day for the second car

How can I be targeted??? I spend $300 a month out of my own pocket every month since my new job started in January.. I have to use 407 partially otherwise my bill is $500s a month
