4K aeroplan miles short for upcoming trip - quick ways to collect?

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the correct thread to post this but I need to book an immediate trip and I am out just over 4k miles short. Wondering if there are ways to quickly rack up?

Just buy or transfer if you cannot wait.

Quoted me ~ $215 for 4,800miles @ 4c per mile which i think is a little steep

Didn't realize it was $0.04...either way, $215 should be a drop in the bucket compared to the overall trip total cost?

I wouldn't go out of my way to open a CC right away if timing is the essence, especially if the inventory for the route you are looking for might be low. You didn't post any travel dates/locations...
