4100 seats at low promotional fares of $99 and $119 for travel booked online
https://www.flyswoop.com/deals.html

from https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/swoop- ... -1.4771107
The subsidiary of WestJet Airlines Ltd. will start Oct. 11 with flights to Las Vegas from Abbotsford, B.C., and Edmonton, Alta.

Service will be added over the following couple of weeks between Hamilton, Ont., and Las Vegas as well as to the Florida cities of Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa Bay. Flights between Edmonton and Phoenix will start Oct. 27.

Most destinations will be serviced a few times per week but daily service will be flown between Edmonton and Las Vegas.

Everyday one-way fares start as low as $149 including taxes and fees through April, however it will offer 4,100 seats at low promotional fares of $99 and $119 for travel booked online until Feb. 13.

The airline's model is based on passengers paying ancillary fees for additions such as bags, premium seats, and Wi-Fi that inflate travel costs depending on individual passenger needs.

The U.S. expansion will see Swoop operate to a mix of secondary airports — Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport — and highly popular ones like McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas where there are no alternatives.

Has anyone fown with Swoop? Besides being charged for everything how's the service? Prices are pretty good for a winter getaway, just want to make sure they're still around if I decide to book.

The pricing looks pretty good but it still isn't as cheap as Spirit.

It is Westjet's discount airline.

They fly limited routes they can fill up, charge a la carte, and fly out of airports big enough to do the travel but with lower fees/costs.

The pricing is fairly sweet. Even with a checked bag surcharge, Hamilton to Vegas for around 300 canadian.

The best detroit rates to vegas usually have been 350-450 canadian depending on the exchange rate, and Toronto well higher. Now they just need a hackable rewards club.

If I didn't have about 3 other hacking options for future trips, I'd be regretting transferring out my cobalt MR's to SPG now.

Winnipeg only flies into Hamilton & Abbotsford with Swoop at the moment. Sigh.

Abbotsford to Vegas $99 Canadian. Keep eye on baggage costs.

Very interesting. I usually fly out of buffalo for few trips per year to Florida (Orlando and Fort Lauderdale).

These seem like good prices. Lowest return seems $234 CAD. Not bad.

Was looking at Swoop to go from Hamilton to Edmonton end of August. It's cheaper (even with one checked bag cost) but ended up paying a bit more for convenience with Westjet as I live near YYZ.

Wanted to let other RFD'ers know that Swoop was prompt to answer an inquiry I sent them, and found out that they accommodate those with mobility issues (wheelchair) for no extra cost.

I picked swoop over flair because flair keeps rejecting my visa ... which works perfectly well with Swoop/WestJet.

It's a discount airline. Seats, landing gear, and pilots are all extra.
