Also quite happy with the picture quality on the Samsung KU6290.

Quite the upgrade from our 10 year old LG HDTV.

I had no idea about this 3-month offer, just knew about the 1-month offer that anyone can get. (Guess I should read Red Flag Deals more thoroughly.) Got it up and running, and making use of it.

Apologies for off-topic and to those that already know, (there are RFD threads about it), but here is the info for anyone else not aware:

For some reason, cannot activate the 3 month crave on my ku6270....

In case you are asking for the purpose of getting an inexpensive remote to do a lot of the simple, mundane, everyday tasks of the TV in order to preserve the (no doubt expensive) Samsung smart remote that came with the TV, I found a $4.99 partial solution at Princess Auto that takes a lot of the chores away from the expensive one.

It does power, channels, mute & volume and toggles between the Samsung TV's inputs that are connected. Best of all, it also simultaneously controls my Rogers HD box (Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4250HD) and turns them on and off together (by default, can be changed). Back-lit too, just add a pair of "AAA" batteries and keep pizza, wings, burger greasy hands off your good remote.

Press and hold the "TV" button and enter code 12051 for the KU6290 Samsung TV, which was the first one listed as a possibility. (For the above cable box, code 51877 on the other "SAT CBL STREAM" button, again the first listed possible code.) Super easy and awesome for five bucks. Keep the smart one handy, yet safe, and let this one do the dirty work.
