Is it actually any mug or just one of their own mugs that they sell?

It's the mugs that they sell. Their coffee is so-so. The location that I go to in Waterloo uses coffee dispensers that, when filled, start counting down from 2hrs down to zero. The key is to by coffee that is the freshest (ie. closest to the 2 hour mark). I usually do a half-half blend of Hazelnut & Dark Roast (or I sub out the Dark Roast for the Kona Blend). I think their original blend is horrible. Also, if you don't like coffee, I have never had a concern getting hot chocolate, tea or any other hot beverage (latte, french vanilla) for the refill price. If you are gonna do this, download the 7/11 app and you can enjoy some other perks too like the 100 bonus points that they are giving away with this and get some free taquitos !!(eventually).

Its any reusable mug, meaning could be your own personal mug. Its always been that way. I have seen people who are regular customers that have their own mugs that they bring in and refill, but I do believe there is a limit of what size mug you can bring in to refill.

Please do not take a 4litre jug and expect to pay .50 cents....

The picture does show the 7eleven mugs so it was a valid question and I'm sure other people probably wondered the same thing.

It has always been .50c in their mugs, free on Sun/Mon and for a while it has been .50c for "any mug". But they must have the most confusing advertising of any company, and their employees don't know their own promotions half the time. So goodluck.

The fine print at my neighbourhood 7-11 says the mug has to have a 7-11 emblem on it.

In other words, has to be their mug.

I'm going to just put a sticker on my no-name mug, and see if that works.

They do have good cofveve.

In any case, great idea. Wished the other places would go the same. Would go long way to help to reduce our landfills.

It's July 11th 2019 and this deal is current. I bring my own Contigo 16 oz travel mug and costs me $0.50 plus tax. You can fill up to 36 oz for $0.50. Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate and Cappuccino. I drink their hazelnut coffee and add hazelnut flavoring. I have no problems! Their coffee is not bad. Cheaper than Timmies and Starbucks!

Circle K is 89c coffee all the time. It’s actually quite delicious and they have a punch card for a free coffee after 7.

The only problem is finding them without Tim hortons in them. Those locations don’t have the circle k coffee :(
