I guess no luck for me as I am in Peterborough and the closest 7-11 is in Whitby.:(

I can confirm this is active today. I just came back from the 7-eleven near Yonge/Dundas, and the manager let me put $300 on one card and get 3 cineplex giftcards.

However, I would not recommend this specific location because their card scanner is broken at the moment. They had to use the magnetic card reader instead, which required about 100 swipes to read the card. Safe yourself the grief and walk up the street to the 7-eleven at Yonge/College instead.

Sucks for people in eastern Ontario. The nearest 7-eleven store is in Oshawa :(

Is there an expiry date on the Cineplex gift cards? Or any restrictions on their use?

Gift cards are not allowed to have an expiry date (with some limited exceptions). Coupons however can. This seems to be listed as a gift card so there shouldn't be any.

Gift cards from retail businesses
- The Consumer Protection Act bans most retail business gift cards from having an expiry date. This means a gift card can be used to its full value no matter when you decide to use it.

- The act also requires that all restrictions and conditions must be stated in clear and visible writing for the customer.

Gift cards that can have an expiry date include:

- gift cards for one specific service (for example, a gift certificate for a massage at a spa may come with an expiry date and lose its value if not used)
- gift cards issued for charitable purposes

Types of cards not covered by the gift card rules include:
- loyalty cards or club cards used to collect rewards or points
- pre-paid credit cards

It's very simple to use and add to your cineplex account wallet. I think there's a restriction of using only 1 giftcard per purchase. If your total exceeds the giftcard amount, the remainder has to be paid via CC instead of another giftcard. (as far as i know)

This is correct as far as I know - tried as recently as this past weekend.... only one giftcard applied per transaction.

So that, with the 7.50 back from Amazon for a $100 load is lookin mighty good! Hopefully you get to score 1000 points with the app, too, for a free Super Big Gulp! Gonna try to use my 24 Bonus Bucks, but I doubt that'll work, lol! THANKS OP!

can you explain the $7.50 back from amazon part? i thought that the $7.50 back is only offered if you buy the amazon gift card directly from amazon and not any stores.
