Not bad at all for an ultra-budget/kids phone. Probably on-par with other Android 8 Go phones, but it would be nice to see a review. Unfortunately, there's zero information about this phone anywhere.

Too bad the 2G data expires in 30 days; wish it is like the rest of the prepaid plan being 360 days - then this would be HOT !

Prefer the extra $25 mins on top of the $100 TopUp, rather than the discount on the phone.

But thanks OP!

I bought a $100 voucher for a discounted phone in Sept and I'm pretty sure there was no bonus $25 promo at that time (I might be misremembering)

I didn't activate until nearly the end of the year (I think vouchers are valid unactivated until the end of the calendar year) and got $125 added to my number

So it might be possible to hang onto an unactivated voucher until the bonus $25 promo comes along again

I'm leaving the country for a couple years soon but I want to keep my number. If I port over to Speakout and leave it, will it last for the year? After that, do I have to top up another $100?

Port it over to VoIP.ms. $1 a month. Setup calls and messages to go to email.

Thanks! Is there a FAQ or forum to show me how I can set this up?

Initial cost for the VoIP.ms account is a $15 USD deposit.
Cost of port-in is 8.75/line, they quote 7-10 days for completion.

There's free voicemail too, no auto-delete, 100 msgs, multiple inboxes.
You can get email notification of messages, with the audio file attached.

Use their SMS Portal or the excellent VoIP.ms SMS (Android) for texting.
You can send inbound SMS to an email address, a reply to the email will be returned via SMS.
You can forward inbound SMS to another SMS-capable number.

There is a $1.25 per month charge = $15/year. You can topup your account with $25. You need to topup another $25 before the end of your one year anniversary date since last topup. The unused $10 from the first year will roll over to the second year if your topup before it expires after one year.
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.

They just had $50 off any FIGO phone and bonus $25 with $100 top-up back in Nov-Dec, IIRC.

It's an interesting promotion in that it's different from their usual.

I wish the OP was updated to say 2GB data rather than 2g, because 2g sounds like a data speed (even though it's not really used anymore)

Anyway, there are some fine print details on the promo page that really lock down this deal: Must activate account with new SIM card ICCID and FiGO IMEI.

So you can't get this deal and use your own already activated SpeakOut SIM card, or your own (probably much better) phone. But if someone was completely new and wanted this phone, guess it's a good deal....

Is the only way to get a prepaid credit for 365 days is with a $100 prepaid credit?

My grandma has ~$6 left in her speakout balance and it expires in March. She barely talks or texts on it, but she uses it on occasion. Also, i'm glad I checked, but what happens to the account if her balance goes to $0 or her credit expires, does she lose her phone number?

Thanks
