At this price it could make a pretty nice clock/radio for the bedroom. I'd be interested to see opinions from people who have this.

The narration in the Youtube video alone is a good reason to buy this "tablets".

Are tablets stuck with google OS versions that they come with?

How about memory, is that upgradeable.

I read the comment on their site and they said that you cannot play youtube video on it because you cannot 'upgrade' it to 2.2

Thanks Felix for your link.

On ebay, if you read only negative feedback even a good seller become a horrible seller. You must check how many bad experience with the global volume.

With paypal protection, you lose in case of issue the shipping return cost. Some comments are from newbies buyers.

from watching the video, the tablet seems really slow or not very responsive. watch when the person tries to scroll the display. it just doesn't scroll and then it eventually starts scrolling.

The touch screen seems horrible. They had to cut the video like 15 times to finally get the website address in. Then when they try to scroll the website, it's wasn't even responding.

I purchased a similar Via 8508 ARM926 based tablet from China. The processor was very slow, limiting it to basic web browsing. Applications were slow to load and cumbersome to use.

I since replaced it with a US White Pandigital Novel, which has been a lot faster with a good hacking community behind it at Slatedroid.com.

Be forewarn for those who are interested and haven't done the research.

The cheapo android tablets usually:

1) have horrible touch screen coordination
2) is resistive and more often than not does not support multi-touch
3) bad build
4) poor battery life.
5) bad screen might not be completely visible unless in perfect lighting condition
6) poor reaction time

Try to aim for a Cortex A8 CPU and something over the 200 dollars price point. The ones they try to get rid of now are pretty bad quality.
If the price is right, just roll the dice.

Resistive touchscreen... So it isn't very accurate as demonstrated in the video.

The clear plastic over the screen looked very poor too. Very wavy (likely very poor quality build/plastics used).
Just a regular deal junkie...

a resistive touch screen can be very accurate. Dont blame the technology when its the crapy cheapo tablet thats the problem lol

Sure, it can be accurate but not likely at this pricepoint. Many applications simply tack them on so they can say they are 'touchscreen', which is evidently the case here. Resistive touchscreens have been around for a long while so there's no excuse to implement them so poorly anymore. For a tablet though, I'd never buy a resistive touchscreen model.
Just a regular deal junkie...
