Above ground pool tips

We are going to be getting an above ground pool which is actually just going to be temp for this summer. Willing to sacrifice my lawn for a year due to Covid. Even if beaches, pools are open, we don't want to risk it. Other than levelling the ground for it and laying down tarp, are there any tips that can be provided?

I did as engineered shows and it was great.

I got a sheet of 4 x 8 ply, put a 2 x 1 lip around the edge painted it all black. Bought 2 x 50 feet rolls of 1/2 inch black plastic tubing from TSC and made 2 circles as shown in the post above and covered in clear rigid plastic. This was connected to my pump with a "T" junction and control valve to the heater. My 23 feet round pool reached 93 degrees at one point.

You dig from the high part and put the dirt in the low part.
If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Actually pretty lucky. The area its going is away from the drainage slope. I just simply have imperfections to level off

I upgraded to a sand filter and switched to salt water. It's really low maintenance now for me. I'm on year 3 with my pool

what kind of above ground pool are you getting to do such a basic installation? Installing a pool is an involved process and costs normally 1k

I had an above ground pool for several years, switched from chlorine to salt. It was night and day. Salt systems are spectacular, almost 0 maintenance. My pool broke and now i'm looking at getting a new one. If its just a one year thing don't bother with the salt but for a permanent install, salt is a big deal.
