Honestly seems too good to be true.Title says it all. If this is indeed true, then 500 lucky person will get 1 year of free internet basically.

EDIT: Deal seems to be still live as of tuesday.Only specific locations have the available speed to get the deal!
EDIT 2: They finally reached 500 so now they are only giving 6 months
I called customer service. They confirmed that the internet is free for one year even on a month to month basis. The modem rental is free providing you pay for 10 dollar shipping. There was no dry loop fee in my invoice. I was only charged 11.30 for shipping. Let's see if this is too good to be true in the coming months.

The modem they are renting out is Smart RG SR516AC modem (AC1200)

• Dual-band 802.11ac Access Point + 802.11n Access Point
• One USB 2.0 port
• Combined WPS and Wireless on/off buttons

Well seems like they are only supplying 60 Mbps internet and upward in my area, so no free internet for me :( good luck to everybody else!

15Mbps internet is not available in my area, yet 75 and 250mpbs are... but not free. Hmmm, can't they just drop me on a lower profile and save themselves money too? I know for a fact that my area supports nothing over 6Mbps, even cable is limited to 25 here IIRC. Nice upsell lol

I didn't know Acanac was still around, I remember back in the day when they were a dirt cheap ISP with a very poor reputation when it came to customer service.

Some address seems to have 15/25/50 Mbps available (Wich qualify for the free year). I've tried a couple in Montreal and close suburbs(Laval).

Thanks.
Ordered 15/1 for my home. Although max Bell DSL speed in this area is 10/1

I got the worldline offer last year - they needed no credit card to signup. Acanac does need a credit card even if you choose the 'use your own modem' option.

Do they mention anything about dry loop fees? Is that also free?

Try again!
It should be a problem with their servers.
Same happened to me. After 10 minutes I tried, free DSL 15 and DSL 50 was shown.

EDIT: Their website seems to be buggy since I can't order online, has anyone ordered online and seen the confirmation that it is indeed one whole free year? ordered 50/10 fro my area
confirmed and just completed ordered. I did month to month-- I don't know if it that affects my deal -- are they going to price increase after one month since i picked the option for month to month billing?

You can probably choose the 'use my own modem' and grab one off kijiji for about 25-30 bux too I imagine...
