Yesterday, the website looked differently when he and I signed up and the monthly modem rental was clearly free.
Today's offer is different.

Is this what you were seeing yesterday?
This is at final page of payment.

Having to keep a backup internet connection AND a backup credit card make this deal all the more complicated. Lol!

It looks like they corrected the web site.

Compatible Hardware
DSL WiFi 2
Purchase: $ 119
Rent to own: $10 per month (12 payments)

I am assuming that we will also have to pay to ship the modem back in the case of a rental.

Thanks OP
Just signed up
11.30 $ internet for a year. Sweet until it doesn't work Smiling Face With Smiling Eyes.
Should I call to cancel my current provider?
Or by switching it will cancel automatically?
Cheers

It still says free modem rental on the promo page, yet the sign up shows 10 per month.

Just signed up for the service but choose to use my own modem.
What would you recommend: SmartRG SR505n, TP-Link TD-W9970 or Netis DL4422?

My plan is to use with dual wan on my Asus AC86U. So I don't really care about the other functionality besides the modem itself as I will just use in "bridge" mode or something like that.

Signed up as well at $0 cost and $0/12 months for the 50.

I will call them tomorrow to see what is up with the free modem since it's still mentioned in the offer page but not offered in the sign up page.
I took a scree capture of course ;)

I just called and they insisted that the modem is not free and that they will charge everyone $10 per month if you took the rental option.

Good thing that I don't have any charges and I haven't committed to any for now either. Initial invoice is $0 and monthly is $0....

Also, I realize now that the email confirmation doesn't show any information about how long the promotion is for, nor did I receive a contract!
This all seems fishy now, to good to be true.....

It took them 2 days, but I think they finally reached their Cyber Monday target of 500 customers.
