For Accountants proving bookkeeping services to clients, how do you incorporate the price?

QB has a plethora of subscriptions versions now. For those clients, how do you charge to cover the cost of the monthly QB sub? Do you charge hourly and incorporate the monthly cost into the hourly rate or do you charge the monthly fee + $/hr?

I wouldn't recoup the costs via hourly rate; you are better off either charging it directly because we accountants get a discount or burying it in your fees.

Accountants who provide bookkeeping services to clients may incorporate the price in several ways, depending on the specific services being offered and the preferences of the client. Here are some common ways to incorporate the price for bookkeeping services:

Flat fee: One option is to charge a flat fee for the bookkeeping services. This means that the accountant sets a fixed price for the services, regardless of the amount of time or effort required to complete the work. This approach may be appropriate for simple or routine bookkeeping tasks that can be easily estimated in advance.

Hourly rate: Another option is to charge an hourly rate for the bookkeeping services. This means that the accountant tracks the amount of time spent on the bookkeeping tasks and charges the client based on the number of hours worked. This approach may be appropriate for more complex or unpredictable bookkeeping tasks that are difficult to estimate in advance.

Package pricing: A third option is to offer package pricing for the bookkeeping services. This means that the accountant offers different levels of service at different price points, based on the specific needs and budget of the client. For example, the accountant may offer a basic bookkeeping package for a lower price, and a premium bookkeeping package for a higher price, with additional services and features included.

Overall, there are several ways to incorporate the price for bookkeeping services, depending on the specific services being offered and the preferences of the client. It is important for accountants to carefully consider their pricing strategy and to communicate it clearly to their clients.
