Acura RDX: 2024 A-SPEC or a 2023 PLATINUM ELITE?

I'm considering RDX. For almost the same OTD price, would you buy a 2024 RDX A-SPEC or a 2023 PLATINUM ELITE? Both are brand new.

Platinum Elite (Adds to or replaces A-SPEC™ Package features)
16-way power adjustable driver’s and front passenger’s seat, including lumbar support,
thigh extension, and side bolster
Adaptive Damper System
Cargo area 12V output
Colour head-up display (HUD)
Heated rear seats (outboard positions only)
Second-row temperature control
Surround view camera system

There was about $3000-$4000 difference in MSRP.

Top trim is platinum elite A spec in 24 … $65k listing.

If you can get a good discount on the 23, then platinum elite.

I saw a post in Jan.
"I bought mine recently from Acura dealership in Toronto -- 2023 RDX Platinum Elite A-Spec, MSRP ~$63k. They waived dealer fees of $799, removed Freight+PDI and discount of $6k so total about $8.5k off the car
They also added $2k worth of accessories for me free of charge (I added on roof rails, cross bars + tint)" (https://forums.redflagdeals.com/new-car ... #p38611053)

I don't know his OTD. I was quoted $64K for 2023 platinum elite and $62K for 2024 A-spec. Is it good? The 2023 car could be manufactured a year ago (I don't know the date) and has been parked for a long time, will the car age or depreciate more?

Used car prices are higher nowadays. Who knows what will happen in 4-5 years, especially for gas powered.

you can get probably get at least $2000 off MSRP off Acura RDX and MDX these days. Wife end up getting MDX with pretty good discount. Dealer will want to clear out the older inventory rdx and mdx since touch screen infotainment is coming to the market to soon. try acura markham

I would have purchased an RDX if I felt I could live with performing finger gymnastics on a touchpad. My Lexus was another culprit.

I would go for the 23 Platinum Elite as the 2024 model has not changed. BUT, I would only buy it if the discount brings the price to at least $2K below the final price of the 2024 A-Spec to help offset the depreciation of a 2023 vehicle.

As for the touchpad, it really is a non-issue for most, it is super easy to get used to, perfectly located for easy access and you'll end up liking it. Besides, once you have set everything up for your car, you'll hardly every need to use it. You can also use the voice commands instead for most features (phone, radio, navigation...).
