[London Drugs] Adams Peanut Butter for $1.49 a jar after Checkout51 rebate

Checkout51 has a rebate for Adams natural peanut butter of $1.50/jar, any variety (the tastiest type is Dark Roast Crunchy, in my opinion).

London Drugs has the peanut butter on sale for $2.99 per 500g jar.

After applying the Checkout51 rebate it's only $1.49 a jar. Excellent price for this peanut butter which is regular $4.99 or so.

This is my favourite peanut butter, so I usually stock up when it's on sale... but haven't had a sale overlap with coupon/rebate until now. I bought 5 jars today, scanned my receipt, and my Checkout51 claim of $7.50 was just approved.

Should work until March 9 or until the Checkout51 rebates run out.

That is an unbeatable price, but if you are looking for a superior peanut butter, check out MaraNatha. It's quite expensive though.

-Stocktrack.ca and homedepot.ca do not show clearance pricing for HD even if the item is on clearance.

Thanks OP. Like you I usually buy it when it’s on sale at LD. This is an excellent price.

TIA and thanks for the post.
I think it depends on the type of receipt they issue. I have no direct experience with in-store pickup for LD so I don't know. I know that it works with Superstore pickup because they give me a regular receipt but not Walmart grocery pickup because they only give an online one.

Yes, you can. I ordered online for in store pickup and scanned the receipt I received in email. CO51 processed it and gave me a rebate immediately. Note that you need a certain balance to cash out so if you’ve never used it, you’ll need to buy other stuff to get your peanut butter rebate.

Thanks for confirming! Wasn't able to buy the peanut butter. The 500g is OOS in both locations near me even though their site shows a few in stock. Oh well, this deal is good to know so I can keep a lookout in the future. Thanks OP @shippingextra and thanks @gadgetman.

You need to buy the peanut butter then scan the receipt into the Checkout 51 app while the offer is valid. You will receive a credit in Checkout 51 and when you accumulate a certain minimum amount, you can cash out by requesting a cheque. It’s not an instant rebate.

You have to make a checkout51 account, it's free. You'll get offers, this brand peanut butter is one of the offers this week, it expires tomorrow night at midnight, offers renew every Thursday 12am. Once you see an offer, you buy something that's eligible towards that offer, take clear pics of the full receipt, then go to the checkout51 site/app and select the offer + number of items (there's usually a limit to how many you can get a rebate for), then upload the receipt. Once you get $20 of rebates built up, they mail a check to your address.

Checkout51 makes money by encouraging/incentivizing people to buy certain brand products, then they share what their "commissions" with the customers through rebates.

I'm new to this also, but that's my understanding. Someone can correct me if I'm mistaken. :)

Looks like they have some stock at a the nearby LD now so thinking of ordering online for pick-up in store. Did you just upload the receipt you received by email into checkout51 or did you have to print and scan something? I have not ordered online for pickup before so don't know if they give any other receipts on pick-up or just the receipt they send by email.

Thanks :)

The receipt sent by email is what I submitted to Checkout 51.

I used the camera on my cell phone to take pictures of the emailed receipt which I had displayed on a second screen.

(When you pick up, there’s just a packing list in the package, and no receipt.)

So you don't have to pick up before you submit the receipt?

In my experience, the receipt isn’t provided until after the package is picked up.

Do I need a physical receipt or can I send an online receipt? New to Checkout51, can I buy item from any store?
