AdBlock on iOS?

I got a new iPhone 12 and is there a system wide adblock available? On Android, I can block most ads on Facebook, Twitch, Chrome, you get the idea. However I'm having trouble finding this for iPhone and iOS in general.

I installed a generic vpn app on an older iphone 6+ and it seemed to block some YouTube ads so it might work overall.

I don't know the name of the app though.

You can look into using encrypted DNS service like NextDNS on iOS or use something like AdGuard.

+1 to NextDNS... I tried Blokada but was quirky and was intermittently blocking the Appstore. Haven't had any of these problems since I switched to NextDNS

NextDNS uses the encrypted DNS feature in iOS 14. It should block ads system wide.

Instead of using the app, try making a configuration profile

AdGuard will block system wide; however, it does so by creating a local VPN to route the traffic. I'm not sure Reddit ads can be blocked.

Do I need the Pro version? It didn't block ads from The Weather Network either.

Any comment as to where NextDNS blocks the ads displayed on Google Now? Blokada worked for like 3 days and then it came back.
Nothing to see here...keep looking.

Yes. Premium activates custom filter & DNS functionality, which in turn, allows you to have system wide ad blocking.

I use AdGuard on my Pixel 3a. I love it, removes the unnecessary and annoying 30 sec. ads on games after every level.
