Aeroplan - 25% Hotel Point Conversion Bonus

Deal Link:
Expiry:
April 16, 2018
Retailer:
Aeroplan
The Aeroplan hotel transfer bonus is back:

Bonus offer valid only on conversions received from eligible hotel partner loyalty programs points into Aeroplan Miles made between March 12 and April 16, 2018 (11:59 EDT). Bonus Aeroplan Miles will be issued by Aeroplan as follows: once the total Aeroplan Miles are earned by exchanging points from any combination of eligible partner programs during the promotion, the bonus miles deposited will represent 25% of the total miles earned from the exchange, BONUS MILE CREDITING: Bonus Aeroplan Miles may take up to 4-6 weeks to be credited after the promotional offer end date of April 16, 2018.

**The total amount of miles received from the conversion of hotel loyalty program points into Aeroplan miles must be greater than or equal to 5,000 Aeroplan Miles in order to be eligible to receive the 25% bonus.

While the conversion of Membership Rewards® points from American Express Card members accounts into Aeroplan Miles is still possible, it is not eligible for this bonus miles promotion.

Although eligible CIBC Aventura cardholders as of October 1, 2013, can convert their Aventura points into Aeroplan Miles, these conversions are not eligible for this bonus miles promotion.

Bonus Aeroplan Miles received from the exchange of hotel loyalty program points into Aeroplan Miles are not eligible for status in the Aeroplan program.

Please note that some hotel loyalty programs have hotel and flight redemption packages where Aeroplan Miles are issued. It is at the discretion of each Hotel Program if these miles are deemed a conversion of points to miles or simply a bonus earned for the redemption.

Looks like the Marriott flight and hotel packages MAY be eligible for the offer this time. (Last promo specifically excluded them) - these are excluded from Marriott's end, thanks X360.

Enjoy!

Thanks! Looks like Aeroplan got Marriott to do their dirty work for them.
I'm sure they must have gotten a lot of angry calls during the last promo from people who weren't aware of the change.
It wasn't around in the last promo: https://web.archive.org/web/20170827143 ... orepack.mi

And the last time (Aug 2017) the conversion was 35% (and I did get the bonus that time)

Looks like they're closing up the stacking.

April 2017 was 30% conversion.

I've never seen a direct AMEX MR to Aeroplan transfer promotion.
They do have a transfer promotion to British Airways Avios a couple of times a year.

See this thread: https://forums.redflagdeals.com/avion-a ... y-1138250/
Thanks, I'll have a look.

It happened in November (but maybe just for U.S. cards?), but I missed it - http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/ ... fer-bonus/

So I was wondering how likely it is to return.

Business class to Asia need 155,000 Aeroplan points. You need 75,000 points.
20K SPG transfer to Aeroplan you will get 25K + 25% = 31,250 Aeroplan.
Rule No.1 here: Buy first, Think afterwards.
