Aeroplan question

Hi everyone,

I have quite a bit of Aeroplan points collected over the years, but I can't use them for Qatar Airways or Emirates flights. Are there any websites or other ways I can either transfer my points to Qatar/Emirates or any services where I can trade point for point, etc. ?

Might not be of any help to you, but I know you can use aeroplan points on etihad airways, which flies many of the same routes.

It's generally not worth it, since points exchange places hose you on the value.

There's no direct way to convert points from one program to another.

I did once use Aeroplan points on British Airways, but I did lose a bit of value even though there was a 30% bonus at Points.com. I only did it because the value was ok and I wasn't funding a whole trip, just topping up enough to buy specific tickets.

I used Points.com to turn my Aeroplan points into Esso Extra points, converted the Esso Extra points into RBC points, then converted the RBC Avion points to BA Avios points.

If this still worked then you could get Avios points to use on Qatar, but there's no such thing as Esso Extra points anymore.

Is there a specific reason you need Qatar/Emirates as opposed to Turkish/Etihad?
