Affordable electrical work for ford focus 2001 in mississauga

So i have a few electrcal issues with my 01 focus wagon. both rear power windows do not work at all, nothing from the front main or rear switches work. no sound either. my mechanic checked the main switch and said that was fine, but his electrical knowledge is limited. Also have issue with rear power trunk/hatch release not working either, again no unlocking sound either.
Looking for a mechanic that's pretty knowledgeable with electrical auto repair.

I tend to stay away from shops with more than 3 bays as they tend to be more pricey.

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't base my fear of getting ripped off on how many bays the mechanic has. I just got totally ripped off by a shop with two bays.

As for electrical work, yes you are right to get someone that is good at figuring out electrical faults as you can be paying hours and hours of shop time for a bonehead to "try" this and "try" that. A auto-electric shop will figure it out more quickly than a general shop and hourly rates are the same.

Go to the store and buy a 10 dollar meter.
Pull off one rear door panel. Probe at the window motor and check for 12v when pressing window button. If theres voltage then motor no good. Else backtrack to where the hot wire has next accessible spot (bcm, fuse, whatever). Check for an always hot wire there. Use google or haynes or alldata for a wire diagram. If you get the hot wire and shows constant 12v then its a switch problem or wire break problem between the motor and the hot fuse, bcm. Ifyour not getting hot then see what the culprit is. First time should take 3-4 hours. Its easy

I agree with tmkf_patryk. If you're fairly handy, you should troubleshoot this problem yourself. All you'll need is a meter, some tools and a bit of time. If you think this might be more than you want to tackle, find a good mechanic or autoglass shop with electrical knowledge. Your problem probably has to do with bad motors, switches and actuators. It's a pretty common problem on older Fords.

I would pull it apart, but just so darn cold right now. but TBH, i prefer smaller shops, i have always had good exp with them. 1-2 man shows and you can get a good honest price without having to worry about much % going to overhead expenses. Plus, i have a truck to use when i take my beater in, so Im never in a rush to get it back, which works well with my current mechanic as he gets to my car when hes not so busy, thus charging me less as it is like he's working during his downtime. other perks is that i can pay him later when pay day comes.

So, having said that, anyone know a guy like that, and is good with electrical?

Silly question did your mechanic check all the fuses in the fuse panel?
