$75 off and not applicable to the lowest priced fare? Wow... Way to go AC!

For the record, I have flown AC to Europe and back, USA and back and of course domestic this year. Longest delay was less than 30 minutes
Ymmv... While waiting for my flight from YUL saw AC passengers delayed over 2 hours b/c plane has not landed yet... The AC staff at the gate were useless and not able to answer questions. My flight with Flair was on time at the next gate over...

This is bullshit and you know it. I just used them to fly to Europe. No delays. No real issues.

What is the point of that sort of offer? Received a wrap to munch on while I wait in line for an hour to claim for lost baggage? Pile on Air Canada.
Someone on RFD complaining about a free snack? What is the world coming to.

Good for you, but it's quite ridiculous to think your limited personal experience makes the worst ranked airline in the world not a risk to fly on.

The last travel I did involved 3 AC flights, 3 flights with other airlines, 2 long distance bus trips and 3 long distance train trips. I am happy to say that I experienced no delays or cancellations with any other company, but with AC I experienced 1 cancellation, an 8 hour delay, a 4 hour delay and a 3 hour delay. Not to mention the horrid customer service where no one gave a crap about the customers in any way on AC. No lost luggage this time, but that's because when we fly AC we no longer check in our luggage.

I do my best to avoid AC, but it's sadly not possible all the time. I cannot recall the last time I've flown delay free with AC, but the worst part is their blatant disregard, disdain, indifference for their customer.

If you fly out of Canada on Air Canada you can afford the extra $75.

The best time to fly AC was during Covid when it flew cargo and passengers were an after thought..the pros of that..being on a 777 with 35 people on board and 4 in economy....the cons...none really.....it was quiet, had business economy..ie 4 seats in a row to lie down on and no washroom lineups....and no line ups at the baggage carousel and the bags in fact arrived. Good memories....now back with BA for all my regular flights.

Lmao you're looking at the wrong data. They had 4 flights and cancelled 3; that's awful statistical sampling. Not even enough data to truly quantify their operation.

You definitely don't come from a technical background and it shows

Lmao just because your flight worked out, doesn't mean it did for the other hundred. Awful way to reason.

This is like saying you bought a car and just because it ended up being reliable for you, you've generated a consensus that the car is reliable for everyone however in reality, its a complete shit box for a good portion of the other consumers

Lol you don’t understand your own logic. I was simply using your previous post logic as an example. It’s actually impossible and pointless to argue with someone who is so ignorant. Good day!

"you don't understand your own logic" - lol

Not once did I ever mention percentages. I've been purely looking at the data through quantity. You have mistaken me for a different guy.

LHR-YUL-YVR on time.. standby on an earlier flight out of YUL, got home early.

Perfect timing! Now you can use that saved money on checked baggage. Starting Aug 23 (booking date, not travel date), you only get 1 free checked bag on Economy, the second checked bag is $100 each direction.

So if you're travelling to Europe:
- Economy Basic: No checked bags (no change before or after Aug 23)
- Economy Standard/Flex: 1 free checked bags
- Economy Latitude: 2 free checked bags

who is checking more then one bag per person anyway? in addition to a carry on and personal item? also wasn't this already the case for Europe (except Basic fares now pay $100 not $70 for there first checked bag) and only a few other destinations internationally had 2 bags (Africa)?

I believe AC is trying to sort out the delays and cancellation to give enough buffer b/w the next flight. This year so far took almost 15 AC flights( 10 transborder and 5 intl flights) except the 2 intl flights rest of them or cancelled or delayed.I flew last week and it was on time.

So they are slowly progressing compare to 3 months before and now.

I've never filed a claim in small claims court before.

Except now... Due to an immense AC flight cancellation/delay of 26 hours. Causing me to buy a last minute WS ticket in order to get home on the correct day so I didn't miss work.

Fly AC at your own risk

I cannot believe it's $75 and not 75% given the current flight experience with AC.

Not a huge discount but travelling to Paris next month and have a very specific window we can go...AC was reasonably priced (Air Transat was the only one cheaper that was 1 stop or less, 2+ stops were also cheaper but that was yvr-kelowna-calgary-paris so hard no). Plan was going with basic fares and then adding 1 checked to share but waited just long enough for the code to come online so basically getting 2-for-1 checked bags by going for both standard fares (basic vs standard was a $75 difference = price of 1 checked bag).

Like most airline deals...they're not really deals but if it works for your specific window, its just a nice added bonus.
